First Name, City
Amazing! Just Amazing. I stumbled on a video on YouTube called Lost In Woonsocket and came to this site. I think I've watched every trailer now..some twice. I'm a chronic alcoholic and addict. I myself, like Normand, have lost everything by the age of 38. Lost custody of my 3 little boys, my 15 year marriage, my house and home. Can't keep A job to save my life because of this disease and have been homeless way more than I'd like to remember. I've been in so many detoxes, rehabs and even the nut house more than I care to mention. I'm currently fresh out of rehab with two and a half months clean and sober and have put myself, yet again, in a less that stable environment. I'm waiting to be accepted into a halfway house in Houston. I pray that call comes quickly! What yall' are doing here is so incredable! Believe it or not, I myself once had great dreams of doing what you guys are doing. Now instead being the filmaker, I'm the documented in the film. I know your show was cancelled per one of the comments I read. I think that's a TRUE SHAME! Alot of the problems I run into is the tabu which goes along with being homeless, alcoholic, addict or the person just down and out!! Does'nt seem to be much compassion or understanding. Ignorance perhaps? I can tell you, I never thought I'd be one of them. These films give me hope which I so desperatly need right now! Hell I thrive on it!! From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you for caring and trying!! Everyone envoled will be in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerly and With Great Gratitude, Summer (Somewhere In Texas) ps.. I do have a myspace and would love to post a couple of these trailers on it if thats possible? Awareness I think is a vital tool for us. Thank You!

[R1's RESPONSE] Summer, we thank you for writing in and sharing your story! You are so right about awareness! The best thing to do as far as posting the stories would be to post the link to Random 1 and have people go there and watch them. You could also go to our new film's myspace site, www.myspace.com/lostinwoonsocket and post the film's trailer on your site. Lost in Woonsocket has been a great tool for those battleing addiction thus far and we hope it continues to help. Hope that helps, keep on keeping on. Take Care!
